?
If you can devote 2 hours a month to help under-achieving or under-privileged high school students be successful then .....
WE NEED YOU
PROJECT TEAM is a mentor program for Ocean Shores High School students who may:
be deficient in credits
have failed one or more classes
be at-risk for dropping out
may be economically disadvantaged
Students are referred to PROJECT TEAM by counselors, teachers and parents. They must have parental permission and sign a student responsibility contract.
PROJECT TEAM Program Goals:
Increase graduation rate.
Increase student GPA (grade point average) and attendance rate.
Decrease discipline problems.
Prepare students for life after high school.
A mentor spends time with a student one-on-one, acting as a positive role model, providing academic assistance, guidance and support, bridging the gap between high school and careers, and is a caring adult friend.
